Flashes of Panic: Wanted: Wife or Water

My mother’s email was titled, “Only in Maine,” but I can imagine this sign elsewhere, too. She spotted this in East Boothbay over the weekend.

the thing i find hilarious about the sign is the arrows, pointing to the obvious categorizations below: temp, perm, and the ever-popular “shotgun”.

i have to admit, though, that it took me a couple of looks to realize that they weren’t referring to two families of gun ownership permits.

some days are definitely better than others….but i get it eventually.
