Driving music

My top 10 list of songs to play with the windows open while driving a large van down New Hampshire back roads very, very early in the morning:

  • “Everyday Should Be A Holiday” by The Dandy Warhols
  • “Back to Me” by Kathleen Edwards
  • “10 A.M. Automatic” by The Black Keys
  • “The Dawn Patrol” by Ride
  • “Living Like a King” by Patiokings
  • “Good Times” by INXS (with Jimmy Barnes)
  • “Secret Handshake” by Too Much Joy
  • “Monday” by Wilco
  • “Dan Takes Five” by The Georgia Satellites
  • “Shooting Dirty Pool” by The Replacements

oh, i don’t think i’ve heard any of those songs! what a shame!

You’ve heard the INXS; it plays over the opening credits to “The Lost Boys,” that great campy mid-80’s vampire flick. I think the Black Keys track is a free download on Amazon. You might’ve heard the Replacements in the car with me sometime; I’ve been playing that one since high school.
